Following our curiosities
Let’s return to following our curiosities:
Reading about Kissatens,
Enjoying the beauty of Japanese Incense.
Visiting new cafes in your city,
Sliding on soft Venetian Slippers,
Enjoying a Photographic Exhibition,
Catching the bus & people watching,
Watching the sun set from the beach,
Catching the fast ferry & having a wine on board,
Allowing yourself to hold opposing thoughts,
Going for a walk around your neighbourhood at dusk,
Visiting vintage markets and look for Folk Art,
Going to an old world record store,
Reading a book from a genre you’ve never thought about before,
Visiting a suburb youve been dying to see,
expanding your horizons, your conversations, your curiosities.
Following what we are curious about can lead to a whole new world, it can open us up to different subjects, it can delight us and shape our world view.
Allowing ourselves to be curious isnt being flaky, its about keeping yourselves open to new ways of being in the world.
Our curiosities are like breadcrumbs scattered through our minds and hearts. Small inklings, glimmers, clues as to what our interests are and could be.
Beware of folks that are shut down and not curious about anything. That’s a world you dont need to visit.
